We recently bred a sandy flemish doe to a california white buck and ended up with 2 pure black and 6 pure white kits (kindled today). Does anyone know if the color could be sex-linked?

not sure what you mean by sex linked? with rabbits genetics for colors are one set of genetics and gender is another. perhaps reword your question?

I meant sex-linked like Red Star chickens. I don't know much about rabbit genetics, so I thought I'd ask.

lol well i'm no good with chicken genetics.

with rabbits colors dont have anything to do with gender. haha that would make sexing alot easier though.

the way i think of sexing rabbits is... does look like a tongue when you fold it long ways. rather like an upside down V or U.... bucks look more round, you can see the attached skin area at the bottom of his parts unlike with does which you cant see there. and bucks when young will protrude more and look like a donut or cheerio round shape. when they get a bit older the actual penis will pop out when you check.
