I am going to be out of town (keynote speaker in alba-quirky) june 2 through june 5.

Closing will happen on June 3 while I am on the road. People can set up shop at basecamp on June 3.

I will probably move to basecamp on june 7.

I will be on the land and at basecamp june 8 through june 18.

On june 19 I go to jacqueline freeman's to record a bee podcast. Then I go to jocelyn's in the seattle area to help her move. The truck should arrive at basecamp on the evening of june 23. Helping to unload the truck on june 24.

Available at basecamp and on TL june 25 to june 26.

June 27 I go to moscow, idaho where I present with joel salatin. back in the evening of july 1.

Available on BC and TL July 2 through July 8.

Booked all day to be in a documentary on July 9.

Available on BC and TL July 10 through July 13.

Visiting with Dave Jacke on July 14 and 15 in Helena.

July 16 through the end of September I have nothing else planned.

My brother Tim will show up around june 15th.

At this moment, the focus is on the pooper and getting the first wofati set up.

Jocelyn is advocating a "super week". A week where we get a lot of people to all come at once.

At this moment I am thinking that the first one will be June 9 to June 15. People can come earlier or later, but overall we will try to get a great concentration of people during this week.

The next "super week" would be July 21 to July 27.

I suspect that there will be a "super week" that will start without me on june 30 and run through July 6. And, I suspect that there is a high probability that the first wofati might be constructed at this time.

So far, the "super weeks" are:

June 9 to June 15

June 30 to July 6

July 21 to July 27

And for the times between, it already seems like there will be a few people here also.

We've also been talking about two weeks, not just one - especially for those who might be a fit for living at TL or BC.

I'm trying to concentrate these folks (so they can meet each other, too) between July 16-31. Confirmed so far are 3 folks overlapping on 7/17-18 though there will be more.

Page 4 of the first month thread is a good part of the two week trial period discussion.

The first month camping thread, has more details on the min. 3 days in May-June for those who would be willing to camp off-grid and help with initial systems.

If you want to come, send me a private message with (a) what you're looking for - help-and-learn, trial period, etc.; (b) how many podcasts you've listened to and (c) your e-mail and phone number.

Jocelyn and I just had a 20 minute conversation about dates. A few things that came out of it ...

1) so far, the biggest concentration of people will be the last half of july. The upside of folks coming then is that we are more likely to have our shit together.

2) A lot of people have been asking "when do you need help the most?" And the answer is "when we don't have our shit together and things are nuts." That would be june 9 through the 18. We already have one highly skilled person that will fly in for this time period. I would like to think that we will have about five or six people here during that period.

3) A lot of people want to be there during the construction of the very first wofati. Based on what I know, that will probably be happening around June 30 to July 6.

4) From June 8 and on there will always be somebody on the land that has skills, has listened to a majority of the podcasts and has the chops to lead.

Repeating this for those interested in coming out:

This has now continued to page 5 with additional good info.

Hey Paul,
We're sure hoping you can attend the Inland NW Permaculture Convergence at Camp MiVoden near Hayden Lake the weekend of September 13-15. We'll be discussing how to put on a festival/fair type event in 2014 and Toby Hemenway will be in attendance over the weekend after conducting a Food Forest workshop in Spokane on Friday.
Pencil us in!

Bill,

I've put the dates in my calendar.

I've been turning down a lot of invitations to come speak at stuff because I just feel like I have so much to get done now on TL.

Edit: note that these dates have passed - they were in 2013.

Two more super weeks coming up:

Tuesday, Aug. 27 through Thursday, Sep. 5 (Monday, Sep. 2 is Labor Day)

Saturday, Sep. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 6.

Join us for all or part - sort of extended work parties and time to get to know other permie folks.

The pooper is almost done (mostly just the walls left), and we just received a second pump for well drilling, and more logs have been peeled for the first wofati. We're leap-frogging tasks as we have working equipment to do them.

You, too, could play poker with us after a hard day's work!

So far, we have someone coming to help just before the 8/27-9/5 super week, and a smattering of other visitors and volunteers across the rest of August.

Send me a private message if you're interested in helping, or hop over to the thread about paid positions.

Looks like we'll have a small crew for the 8/27 super week, even though Jesse is leaving. (It's been awesome to have you here, Jesse!)
Might even have some of these folks into the 9/28 super week, too.

Edit: note that these dates have passed - they were in 2013.

Look for more recent threads on current workshops, work parties or other opportunities to come out.
