POST 167 (DAY 174, Sunday, 2021.1.31)
[Evening Entry]

.. I’ve decided that the things I make should be daily usable/visible items.. today I made a wristwatch strap holder downy thing out of hemp twine, because the original rubber one broke recently..

Enjoy the pics~!!

.. had a surprising uptick in energy today.. maybe because yesterday’s “letting down of the hair”.. also, on Thursday I ate many eggs (this seems to be a recurring theme.. the lack of eggs seems to make me feel fatigue).. also my hands felt better on Thursday because I had bone broth soup on Wednesday.. seemingly.. so perhaps coincidence; perhaps not?..
.. regarding the sugar free thing.. it was easier to give up sugar when I knew it gave me an instant headache.. now that my headache symptom is not really around, I have only to rely on my belief that sugar is a mild poison to the human body.. why do I believe this?—the internet.. is it true?.. the argument is quite compelling.. also, I did fine without sugar for the 3-5 years I was sugar free.. now, introducing sugar back into my diet, I’ve noticed fatigue, brain fog, laziness, and more body ache.. will keep you posted..!

Enjoy the pics~!!!

I know right?! It was a new technique (counterintuitive—I picked smaller not bigger), plus the weather was slightly warmer..! It’s still alive today!

POST 168 (DAY 175, Monday, 2021.2.1)
[Evening Entry]

.. my final day at the greenhouse for now..  pretty much all of the multi-person tasks are done.. the rest of the progress will be made by Josiah, because the rest is a one-person-task.. I’ll probably pop in a few more times to lend a hand when needed..
.. baking something yummy tonight.. who knew I liked baking so much?.. I just think it’s cool that I can make something shareable with a heated box.. can’t wait to make things in an RMH powered oven on my plot..!

Enjoy the pics~!!!

Thank you for all the great work on the greenhouse Dez....can't wait to see how it all works out.

I'm also growing P. nuda here in Maine.  For the first few years it was slow going, but the last few years it seems to be doing great.  Not sure if it was the colder winters that we used to have or if it's because I never mulched it (I still keep meaning to get over to it with a few wheelbarrows....maybe this year when I plant out my next bamboo species and mulch it).  If you haven't done it and can find the time and material it may help speed this little guy along from what I've been told.

i feel like not all sugar is created equally
if i make coffee with white sugar i get coffee jitters and hand numbness
if i use brown/yellow sugar i do not have these same problems
then there is gmo derived corn and beet sugar
one example i had a dr pepper... and felt very ill the next morning
forgot about that experience and had another a few years later and it happened again
i will never drink it again
i drink really weak coffee with lots of brown sugar though
which btw needs to be followed up with real food especially if you are doing hard labour
and drink water
read recently about how high blood sugar can cause dehydration even if you are drinking a lot of sugary drinks
