Hey there! I have a very passionate friend whom has been seeking a really good, holistic, midwifery program... and i was wondering if any of you had any suggestions. She would not like to be a nurse-midwife, but would rather find a program that is slightly more tactful and nurturing. I thought you guys might have some thoughts!

Have you tried asking at the Mothering.com forums? That seems like a more midwife-educated community, with lots of experience in that area.

Without knowing where you or she are located, I'd say, go to the local midwife she respects the most (surely she's in contact with the local midwives? Had homebirth(s) herself?) and ask her where to go.
