Hello;
I have been trying, and failing, to recycle aluminized (mylar) dog food bags.
There are dozens of online crafty uses, like shopping bags.  But I have not found much substantive.
Things I tried:
-clean and use as reflectors to shine light onto a garden patch;  worked a bit, but the plastic is not UV resistant
-compost bags; not strong enough, same problem with UV degradation.

Things I wonder about:
-earth bags?
-an underlayer in a shelter roof; but, they are fussy to open out to flat.
Ideas?

Clean and reuse for storage? Such as homemade dog food, garden amendments?
Split open: covers for something small?
Split open & fastened together: temporary floor covering?
Filled up: Weights? Fencing? Water control?

I have never gotten any mylar dog food bags though I recycle the ones that come with cracker, etc.

In the past I have used them to repackage and reseal food stuff like rice to last longer for food storage.

While I have tried reusing the bags to store wool items in summer I bet that would work.

Here is a thread from a few years ago that might offer some suggestions:
