Hi everyone! I am a Human Resource Management professor and am carrying out a study to understand how people who embrace low consumption lifestyles navigate and experience their jobs.

If you embrace simple material living (for example, reject consumerism, prefer meaningful experiences to “stuff,” do things the “slow” way intentionally, etc.) and are currently or were recently employed, I would like to hear from you!

The following link will direct you to a brief survey (it will take no more than 5 minutes to complete). At the end, I will ask for your first name and e-mail address. I will reach out to you to schedule an interview, that will take at least 30 minutes (longer if you are enjoying it and want to keep going!).

As a "thank you" for participating, for each interview I conduct, I am donating $10 to World Wildlife Fund.

You can find my faculty profile here: https://business.fau.edu/faculty-research/faculty-profiles/profile/mharari.php

Thanks for considering this and I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks to those who have already responded to our survey and who have been willing to be interviewed! If you have any questions or comments about this research project, please feel free to post a reply in this thread.

Welcome to permies, hopefully you're getting all the participants you need for your research.

Thank you Riona!

For anyone who does not want to interview with us but is still willing to share some thoughts on the survey, please feel free to take the survey and just leave the section for your first name and e-mail address blank. Any responses are valuable, even if only to the survey.

Thanks again!
Mike
