Website is up and running

I had an idea a couple of weeks ago and it has consumed me.
Part of what I need in place to make my dream a reality is an online presence. With this in mind, I set out to create a website which will be encompass areas of interest to a broad audience, which helps them down a path to a better condition for themselves and their environment, and provide a platform where people can contribute as best they can to the larger project.

The site is up and working, but is nowhere near ready for a general announcement to the world. It's just a shell. What it needs is CONTENT.
Since the site is based on contributions by the readers, it is a challenge to get contributions without a general announcement to the world.
Eventually, I hope to include all sorts of stuff: Ratings and view counts, forms that will allow the user to submit articles, converting the articles to a searchable database, the ability to edit your articles...

Here's where you folks can help.
I'm looking for articles, essays, and stories. I took the liberty of putting in my write up on leaf mold as an example. Click on Articles, you'll see what I'm talking about.
I consider these essays to be the an important part of the project. It's an opportunity for everyone to share their knowledge and to pick up on ideas to use in their own way.
I must admit that I am curious as to what people might send in. Will it be recipes for tomato sauce? Instruction on carving pumpkins? Insight about a growing method which has shown remarkable results not widely documented? A checklist for organizing a natural food growers co-op? A description of how to take cooperation to the next level?
Think of it as a TED talk, and you are the speaker.

I've been pecking away at this for a few days. The framework is in place. The site is not yet interactive-give me time on that. There is just enough in place that I've started to get the word out.

Ken, you're more than welcome to lift my 'Composting alkaline batteries' thread to use as an article. If you would like it dressed up or expanded, let me know what kind of rewrite you have in mind and I can edit it appropriately.

I'm trying to find places to post articles and tips about practical fertilizer chemistry that can be done with commonly found recyclable materials. If that's the sort of thing that fits with your plans for your website, I'll be happy to contribute.

It is not my intention to make my site a clone of Permies.com. There are so many topics of discussion and avenues to pursue, such an endeavor would be reinventing the wheel. As Paul says, "there are thousands of bricks." Part of the purpose of the site is to offer a venue where people can present their own developed ideas in a stand alone fashion. Paul has some long coattails to be sure, and I take pride in being able to participate in these forums. However, there comes a time when people need to go further, grow, and stand on their own two feet. My little site is how I intend to become more, and it offers everyone a chance to hang their own shingle. This does not imply that I am competing with Permies.com. On the contrary, I think my site adds dimension to permaculture and sustainable living.

You have outstanding credentials and your battery composting post has the science and excellence I am drooling for. I am eager to get some articles posted and yours would make for a fine example for submissions to follow. But to copy/paste from this site without approval is something I would regard as stealing. There I go again with that site integrity talk. I'm going to message Paul. He seems like a reasonable feller.

I do have a reason for insisting on original work. When google and other web crawling software get hold of that page and hold it to the light with the thread here, it can create a copyright issue.
You approve, Paul approves, I approve, so we'll be ok.

I was wondering what sort of problems I would have integrating a submission with the Rube Goldberh software I'm using. I had a couple of punctuation typos but it came off without a hitch.
