Where can you get nitrogen? How can you eliminate ones and twos separation? Eliminate construction of poopers? Not pay for it or trade for it? Have it brought in and dropped off? Have no odor? No flies? No unleashed, uncaged pathogens roaming the countryside? AND... hot showers? Joe Jenkins "Humanure Handbook."

Wow! That was weird. Ben posted 10 seconds ahead of me with the same thought.

Jenkins addresses the inorganic nasties in humanure. They are broken down by billions of micro poop beasts. Heck they'll even take down jet and diesel fuel. Yet, a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still. Stay warm!

There are lots of things that I would be comfortable doing myself or with my family but would NOT trust with a bunch of visitors at my place. Read the thread and listen to the podcast, Paul has very valid reasons for his position.

Humanure methods break down in large sized families, you definitely need a different scale and handling methods when you get to small community level. I hope Paul's system works out, as I really want a workable system that works for more than a couple.
