Yesterday, in his weekly blog post, notable author John Michael Greer mentioned rocket mass heaters as one seven sustainable technology that would be viable in a post carbon/collapse type future. Could be a nice bump for Ernie and Erica's business and for bringing this concept to a new audience. I hope so, it's pretty cool to watch some people that I have admired from afar converge in this way.

Here is the blog post.

I firmly believe in most of what John Michael Greer believes in, but Damn, that man uses a hundred words to say what could be said in three, He makes me seem
terse ! I wonder how many people have been turned off by the over Verbage ! Talk about logorrhea ! A.L.

Hi everybody

Good evening. I have and continue to follow JMG's blog for at least the last four years, and I have several of his books. While he may not be an expert in rocket stoves (who knows?) he is clearly among the top few leading lights of the peak oil "movement," for lack of a better word, whatever it is.

I'm convinced that RMH and much older technologies including the kakelugn (Finnish/Swedish) will be in our very near future. At the moment I am making my first rocket stove, without the mass, forgive me. In the future I will take a shot at the kakelugn. I've been at this stuff for almost ten years, probably like many others here on permies.com.

Ciao ciao

K.
