POST 233 (DAY 243, Friday, 2021.4.9)
[Morning Entry]

... building the mini rolly-shelf has been very soul building for me.. I find myself engaging my creativity and craftsmanship.. it challenges my mathematical/engineering brain.. I want to spend extra time with it to give it all of my attention to detail.. mistakes are expectable of course (perfection an illusion).. after all this is the first iteration of its kind.. the other two rolly shelf systems are awesome models, but this one is different in dimension and purpose.. in a way I’m adopting principles from its precious cousins.. I never really knew how much I’d enjoy building shelves.. this one is more of a box with wheels actually..!

... enjoy the pics~!!!

Very cool!

Looking over a lot of the builds at Wheaton Labs, I was kinda surprised not to see any Murphy Bed style sleeping or storage arrangements...

POST 234 (DAY 244, Saturday, 2021.4.10)
[Morning Entry]

...THE WORK: build a rolly shelf for the tool wall in the auditorium, to beautify the space a bit.. thanks C and E for helping so much!!!

...A RANT: an emotional point of reference.. often when a new memory is formed or a perspective is shifted, there comes with it an emotional marker.. (like in that one movie with the colorful memory bubbles!).. and in contrast when there isn’t an emotional event or occurrence, the memory is vague or gone.. a new memory/perspective shift can be a lesson learned—something that alters my course or the way I take course.. recently I stood up when prompted to sit, because it didn’t feel right to sit.. someone was being rude to me and it was not okay for me to keep the status quo of “everything is fine..”.. it was not fine; it was not okay to receive this rudeness.. so I simply stood up and got out of the way.. if someone is being rude, that’s fine/okay, because it’s their journey and I’d rather not be the judge.. but I do uphold the liberty to move my a$$ out of the way of such behavior (note: distinction—behavior and identity are different—being/acting rudely doesn’t make a person rude).. I simultaneously strive to uphold my honor to defend the human who may be acting in a rude state.. a state; not a permanent identity..
... the emotional marker for me was pain and sadness.. it hurt to experience a connection interrupted by whatever this rudeness was.. it came out to take charge and it wasn’t pretty.. but life ain’t always pretty right?.. it saddened me to know that I would have to allow the interruption of such a lovely connection thus far.. but life ain’t always smooth either right?.. we row on.. I accepted the pain and sadness with faith that it’s just part of this dynamic emotional journey of ever refining perspective and creating remarkable experiences.. “without the butter there is no sweet..” .. and so I appreciate the butter tremendously..
... connections will be interrupted because ‘ideal’ is imaginary.. it’s an image of something to run toward.. I might trip or kick someone in the shin along the way unintentionally.. the meaning we place on things define our level of acceptance of it and our selves.. it’s a nice thing to know that we get to choose the meanings in many cases.. the meaning I choose is that my bond with this person, who was behaving rudely, can grow stronger; or that, at the very least, I stand up at the right time, for my self (and possibly for someone else).. I don’t profess to know what IS “wrong or right”, but I do know what feels right.. to me it feels right to accept this person as they are (in their loveliest state as well as their crude-rude state), and to uphold my liberty to wiggle my butt in the general direction of kindness.. in gratitude.. thank you..!!!

... Enjoy the pics~!!!

Beautiful shelf, Dez! My mother is obsessed about arranging things this way, haha. I'm the opposite - more like a "cloud storage" kind of person ;)
I'm sorry about your bad experience. I do have a "flashback memory" of someone who was suddenly (and unexpectedly) rude to me; I don't remember anything she said (but I heard it for sure), but rather everything else, as if I took a picture of that moment, along with all the emotions etc.

Cool lol cloud storage! Thanks flora, i think the important thing about a “bad” experience is that I understand what it means to me at the end of the day.. In this case, it was that I gave myself the space and time to step out of the situation, and engage my empathy to be kind to an unkind behavior.. because at the end of the day, what matters is that I do the kind thing.. because I matter enough, whatever circumstances may occur.. and for that awareness, I’m grateful..!
... in regards to your situation, I hope your peace was uninterrupted.. feel free to Moosage me if you care to share.. Would be delighted to chat with you! otherwise, we row on!.. thanks for reading/writing!!! =D

This looks like a lichen to me. I'm in the pacific northWET, and we're covered in mosses and lichen here. I see a lot of lichen like that. No idea what it's called, though! But, I'm pretty sure it's a lichen. Mosses are like little plants. Lichens are not really plant-like in appearance. They're a symbiotic relationship of fungus and algae &/or cyanobacteria and come in all sorts of funky colors, shapes and sizes!

POST 235 (DAY 245, Sunday, 2021.4.11)
[Afternoon Entry]

... yesterday’s town run was a good time.. got to hang out with C and Nine, doing towny things.. the shoe store was stomp in’ with crowds.. I felt rushed.. oh how I love a good pair of shoes.. just doing some research for when the time comes to get new ones.. my current all-season pair (by garm0nt) has been with me to Europe and back, numerous hikes, and this whole time at Wheaton Labs—pretty amazing 8 years so far!.. the other pair I’ve been wearing are snow/mud hardy winter boots by s0rel—keep my feet very warm and dry.. :) ..I’m thinking my next pair might be ob0z because my gut tells me they’d be right for my type of feet.. flextime and light.. for street shoes, ad1das were my all time favorite.. if anyone knows what else other than ob0z would compare well, please feel free to moosage me, during my time of research! :)
... the evenings are getting longer with the lasting sunlight.. it was a chill 19 degrees this morning.. and I daydream of the day when my earthen dwelling on my plot will be a cozy cool 72 inside all year long.. nuzzled by every single ray of this Montana sun..
... enjoy the pics~!!!

Ps.. Nicole .. I think you’re right.. I was momentarily confused.. I believe it’s called wolf lichen in some parts
