The videos from this Youtube users account are pretty amazing. I really enjoy the thatching one as well.

If anyone feels this video is too much of a tease--as many videos on tanning are--and they want to know more about tanning feel free to ask me and I may be able to answer some questions. Traditional bark/vegetable tanning is definitely possible on a small scale.

I may be able to answer some questions about the video too. Like about what tools they are using, the white/gray pit near where they are dehairing the hide, etc.
