Michael Judd says that if permies.com brings in $5000 to his kickstarter, then permies.com can decorate an entire page in his new book!
I'm not sure what we would put there just yet, but the opportunities for comedy are endless!

Finney Farm has a spot or two open for a WWOOF/intern. Ideally, we'd prefer to find someone who'd like to arrive in the next month and if all goes well...stay through the end of the season (mid November). We generally ask for 30 hours of work each week in exchange for room, board, and education. We would love someone with at least some experience in something like farming, gardening, construction, rural living, homesteading, etc. However, good communication and a genuine desire to work hard and learn what we have to offer is more important to us than a large skill set.

Finney Farm is a 100+ acre land trust and intentional community located in the foothills of the North Cascades in WA state. The farm began in 1989 by a group of well known environmental activists with a focus on conservation, educational, and homesteading. Over the past twenty five years, we have developed a cohesive plan of action and we're working on a goodly number of interesting projects including our Seed Distro. We grow and distribute heirloom, open pollinated seeds at no charge to schools, food banks, community gardens, and households--in the first 5 months of 2014, we gave away 7000 packages of seed and offered free workshops as well as designed and installed an onsite garden at the largest food bank in our county.

At the farm itself, we have a half acre forest garden, about an acre and a half of annual food, an acre of blueberries, orchards, bees, ducks, herb gardens, sauna, creek, and much more. Please feel free to find us on the WWOOF directory (under Finney Farm) or on our website www.finneyfarm.org to get a better idea of what we have going on here. You may contact us at info@finneyfarm.org for an application packet which includes a goodly amount of more specific information about our accommodations and program. Thanks!
