We are not just another organic farm, but a working model of community living with unique revenue generating opportunities. We need someone with farming experience to help us with the day to day running of our farm. But first, a little bit about us:

Our lifestyle has been thoughtfully designed to promote:
-Vibrant Wellness
-Spiritual Growth
-Stewardship of the Planet

This means that each day begins early with meditation followed by one of our delicious Green Tonic Smoothies. While the air is still cool we don our work clothes and hit the gardens. We are an ecological farm. Beyond merely organic, we are committed to considerations of increasing wildlife habitat, maximizing plant diversity and resource economization.

With the first heat of the day we break for Yoga practice. This is an integral part of our health and anti-aging regimen, and keeps our bodies supple and free from injury. Afterwards we prepare an elegant meal together from the morning's harvests. Most people have never tasted food this fresh and for many, these lunchtime feasts are the highlight of the experience you'll have on our farm.

THE ENVIRONMENT:
Located on 5 acres at approximately 1200 feet above sea level, our South Kona farm is ideally situated for producing the finest fruits and vegetables in the world. We employ the Korean Natural Farming (no- till) Soil Method which treats the Earth in a gentle, sustainable manner.

Room and board is provided in exchange for 20 hours per week of work. Scheduling is flexible, but we are determined to live in community so we encourage meals and activities to be shared with other members of the farm.

Accommodations are currently available in our our huge self-sufficient yurt. Hot showers, full service kitchen and dining area, sun decks and Wi-Fi are just some of the amenities to be enjoyed here.

Our farm derives much of it's income from CSA (community supported agriculture), farmer's market sales and our bed and breakfast accommodations for short-term guests. But there is no glass ceiling for new ways to improve our business model.

This is where you come in!

Currently we are hoping to fill the following positions:

-FARM MANAGER:
-COMPUTER SPECIALIST
-KITCHEN MANAGER
-MAINTENANCE WORK
-GENERAL FARM WORKER

The IDEAL candidates should have/be:

-hard work ethic, able to get along with others and a self-starter requiring little management
-clean and respectable of others in this sharing community
-desiring of an expanded spiritual existence (we practice mindfulness meditation and yoga daily)
-not an excessive consumer of alcohol or other intoxicants while on the property
-farm experience: not necessarily organic, but should know your the basics of a working garden

If this interests you, please complete the form below, copy, paste and email along with a current PHOTO. Providing references will be a plus for consideration.

Mahalo and aloha nui loa!

Aloha Carl!

My neighbor, who lives on the hui next door, says he might be interested but he doesn't have Internet access at his home. He has to wait until next week or so until he can get to town and the library computer. But he has some questions he'd like to have answered before he walks to town. He wants to know if you're selling at the Green market or at Keauhou? Are you in Honauau, if not, where? Makai or mauka? And he asked how many people are in your group since you only have five acres. He's a serious gardener and said he might be interested in a small farm set up.

I can show him your answers on my iPad, then he can take it from there once he gets to the library.

Mahalo!

Hi Carl, just curious as to your farming practices, whether you follow a specific doctrine or practice a combination of styles/techniques, what your setup looks like, what a typical farm day might involve, to what extent you practice/integrate permaculture...and also would workers be self-guided or working side-by-side with those in charge?
thanks
claire
