Hey folks,

im new here, so first of all, i want to say "hi" and my name is Ben and im from Austria/Europe

My "problems" are Rice Bugs in Thailand...i just got some pictures of a Rice field which got destroyd of Rice Bugs.

This Farmer lost about 70,000 Thai Baht caused by this insect. Does anyone have an idea how you can solve this problem? Has somebody made experience with that? Im thankfull for every answer!

Thank you guys!

Green On!

give us a little time.

and how about some more information?  knowing a little bit more about this farmer's methods might help folks who want to give you an answer.  knowing a lot more about the methods would be much better.

well, typical rice farming...lots of pesticides, chemicals and stuff. Monoculturing all year long, rice always under water.

i just read the book of masanobu fukuoaka, and he said: dont care about the bug, he will eat that what he needs, the rest of the plants will get more sun by that and the plants get stronger and bigger, in fact the crop is the same whatever you use chemicals or let the bugs live.

this is how the field looks like in times wheres no rain:
