Strange Gelatinous Fungus in Georgia

I discovered this strange gelatinous fungus while hiking in Black Rock Mountain, GA. Does anyone have any idea of what it could be?

Thanks for the identification! At first I thought someone had cracked open an egg, then the later stages resembled small pomegranates with seeds spilling out.
