This is my uncle's place a few miles out of Bangor, ME.
I helped clear the land for the home site before entering high school. He built the foundation, lived in it for a couple years, then built the log home himself, finishing in 1984. The quality of work is tops. At 30 years old, it is standing the test of time. Lots of space in this one. Woodstove as well as oil furnace. All the firewood you need right out the door.

DEER
If you like hunting, this is one to think about. My uncle sits on the back porch with a cup of coffee waiting for just the right deer to show up.

I'd take it but there is no snow in Florida!

Beautiful house, Ken.

If I wasn't 4 years away from retirement, I'd be looking hard at that house. My wife and I have vacationed often in that area and are looking at Sullivan, ME as one of our prime retirement locations.

I have to ask: What the heck is that on top of the blue tank in the corner of the basement?

I'm thinking some sort of vase?
If it was mine I'd hide it in the basement too!

Sullivan...Flanders or Tunk?
Spent many weeks of summer on Flander's Pond.
Growing up sucks.

Could it be there as a vessel for priming the pump? Those things vibrate. That masterpiece could be lost !!!

A place called Edgewater Cabins on Frenchman Bay. Drift off to sleep to the sound of the falls and wake up to loons & lobster boats in the morning. Just awesome.

Every time we go, my wife has to deal with me spending half the vacation with my nose in a real estate brochure.

Yeah, that really short growing season is a big stumbling block, too.

permaculture is a more symbiotic relationship with nature so I can be even lazier. Read tiny ad:
