Returning to this after over two months of delinquency.

Considering the above ideas about:

- Generally improving the name
  &
- Making it more clear what the thing actually is

I wonder if we should also consider things like SEO and stuff.
If we wind up adopting image naming conventions for BRK posts, that is an opportunity to educate Google about who we are, what we do, and what we're about.

So the value of:

<image>
<image name: brk-kittys-on-hugel.jpg>

might be less than the value of, say . . .

<same image>
<new image name: permaculture-apprenticeship-kittys-on-hugel.jpg>

because when someone googles "permaculture apprenticeship" we may show up higher.

You could mix the fun name like Bootcache with some keywords, like Bootcache: Permaculture Apprenticeship

<same image>
<new image name: bootcache-permaculture-apprenticeship-kittys-on-hugel.jpg>

Although it would make names longer. But then you have the fun word to attract human attention and the SEO words to attract bot attention.

About to move some stuff around.

Need to call this something.

Bootcache is great.  Probably has poor SEO though.

What if we call it the Permaculture Prize.

Gotcha, I forgot where to check SEO phrases. Thanks!

BootCache was searched for once before we invented it in this thread.
100 hits for Permaculture Prize back in September 2006, and a few in October 2011, then nothing.
Basically zero for BootCash.
BootCoin gets some hits because there is a crypto tracking project by that name.

That should be it. I realized part way through that the numbers Google Trends reports are not total search numbers. It is something more like a percentage. So most of the "small spikes" that I reported are actually to 100.

I finally looked at what BRK was. My suggestion which can be ignored is.  Awesome Permaculture Bounty  - APB.  Sort of sounds cool when you say I put out an APB.

In the interest of "posting in English", I'll point out that this is about Search Engine Optimization.

After playing around with Google Trends a bit, I'm seeing that the results from a single term aren't useful in this comparison, it only shows results relative to itself so helps point out how it varied over time. If looking for relative popularity among terms, you'd need to put the terms into a comparison entry.

I did this for a few that looked most promising. "Bootcache" hardly represents, but "Boot Cache" was one of the top results I found. "Bootstraps" had an ominous peak in Feb 2020 that let it blow away all competition. Most of the others I tried with multiple spikes on Jeremy's list registered just below Boot Cache.

To do a thorough job, someone could take Tina's list and put them all head-to-head, removing the lowest performer to add the next term as the site only allows 5 at a time. If I knew scripting languages I'd automate it, but trying to not go too far down this rabbit hole at the moment...
