Thanks, R Ranson! That worked... so then I added "www." and ".com" and got it to work that way too.

Thanks to both of you!

So I've been bouncing around permies today and I was watching this thread with Rusty and Karens input, and I noticed how at first Rusty's link in his signature was not operable, being just black text, but after he got Pie'd the link turned blue. I clicked on it and it works.

These forums and features have grown and changed quite a bit since I used to visit. So the "Pie" and "apple" things are new to me. At any rate, thanks!

Just a quick image uploading test.

Seems my "Preview" button (after adding an image) doesn't show the previewed image within the post. Although an image does appear when I use the "Submit". So where's my screw-up?

I have many questions about the table feature.

Testing, 1,2 3...

This is a testof making tables
1.  Whyis the table font size so darn BIG in the preview?  Can I change the whole table's font size at once, to make it a little smaller?
2.  And how do Iformat a single cell to expand multiple columns?
  ->3.  Or expand a single cell ...
  ->    down to multiple rows?
4.  Alternatively:
  • ~How can I format
  • ...a Haiku, list or poem
  • <--without these bullets?~
  • <--And how do I get rid of the border "padding" that is around each cell, so that it is only around the whole table, instead?

    Edit: Nevermind the padding question...apparently hitting "Preview" shows a very different look than what it actually shows up as, once the "Submit" button is pressed.

    Have skimmed through this thread to try to find an answer and searched as well with no success - perhaps I was using the wrong search words😉

    I have uploaded a post with photos from my phone but they weren’t oriented correctly so I went back to edit the photos and the “remove” option did not work.

    I have changed the orientation on my phone and was going to re load them.

    Am using an android phone on a chrome browser.

    It’s not a biggie, am just curious how I could rotate the photos without deleting the post and reloading the photos.

    Many thanks

    I don't think photos can be rotated with the permies software. It would be a useful feature & it seems I've read some discussion about it but I don't think it exists yet. When I need to rotate one I do it with graphic software then upload the pic.

    Thanks for your reply Mike.

    Have figured out that the remove button doesn’t work on my phone but works fine on an iPad😉

    I think that I am going mad, I just returned to the post on my phone, same browser and now the “remove” appears as a button beside the photos.

    Earlier it was just the word “remove” below the photo.

    Gremlins at work!

    Thank you Mike and R!

    I am trying to upload pictures from my computer and I think they are too big. Does any one know how to compress them? I am using Windows 10. The pictures are off my Nikon camera so the resolution may be too high.  Thanks all.

    There are many methods. I open the photo on my PC and use the screen grab program (snip and sketch) to capture a lower-res image. Then I save the screen grab image as a file and upload here.

    Thanks Douglas.  That sounds simple.  I'll try it out.
