I grow lions mane for my own consumption.
Using
mushroom grow bags, I put in one pound of hardwood sawdust, one pound of ground soy hulls, and three pounds of
water. I fold the bag shut, put rubber bands around it, and cook it in the pressure cooker for 2 hours at 15 psi. After it cools, I open the bag and pour in some lions mane spawn (I get mine from NorthSpore.com).
I seal the bag and wait, usually for about three weeks, until it fruits. Then I slice the bag on all sides and put it in a shotgun fruiting chamber, as you shouldn’t spray lions mane directly.
Note:if you don’t provide
enough fresh air, it doesn’t form the teeth, as you can see in the picture
