Our weekly video shows our rocket mass heater that keeps our workshop nice and warm during the cold months. I even give a shout out to permies.com and Paul Wheaton in this one!

Hi all! Another video coming your way, and this one is on how coppicing fuelwood trees, especially when they are awesome permaculture trees like black locust, can lead to a regenerative, multi-generational supply of fuelwood for your rocket mass heater.

Hey all!

I forgot to post last week's video, and it was a good one! Why, because we show the Google Sketchup design plans to our batch box for FREE! Give it a look, and thanks for watching!

Shadden, why do your chicken tractors have floors? Mine are mesh bottom, poop goes straight to ground underneath.

Is it a cold climate thing?  I saw your race to clean them. By the time you opened the door, mine are done. I just have it in their egg boxes, which are accessible from outside.

Wayne, yes, we have the floors for the cold winters, but also to be able to harvest the bedding and manure for use at times in other areas/applications than directly on pasture. We do use some of our Salatin-inspired chicken tractors during the warmer months to skip the clean-out step altogether. Thanks for asking!
