What do you all feed your ducks, especially over winter? Any idea on lb of feed and costs?

Well ours get 300g of rolled barley in water in the morning and 250g of wheat in water in the evening. Plus any bread scraps that they can fight the chickens for. And they forage over 2 acres - LOADS of slugs and snails. It's rare that we have snow covered ground so they can always forage. Not much point me giving you costs as they'd be irrelevant (you're in North America??)

Yup im in NA. The company I work for sells bulk organic food, so Im going to use my discount to get stuff to feed them. I do that now for my chickens as well. I was just curious if there was a special diet for them as opposed to chickens. Thanks!

Paul and Kelda continue reviewing Sepp Holzer's Permaculture (the book), chapter 1 part 5 in this podcast: podcast

They talk about ducks and slug control.
