Taking time here to reflect on how a few brave people put on this earth selflessly defend good strangers from corrupted minds. Because there is a small but effective number of people as virtuous as they are, we can rest in hopes of a better society tomorrow. Both appreciative and unappreciative alike, all around the world we are all beneficiaries in some form or another from their noble work. #‎KevinVickers‬

Mr. Vickers, who is the Sergeant at Arms, shot the terrorist who burst into the Canadian parliament yesterday. It's usually a very quiet job, but he got it done. The assailant had killed a soldier moments earlier. Two Canadian soldiers have been murdered in three days by Muslim extremists. One attack was at the National War Memorial, a place where you'd expect them to be respected. Canada is sending planes to fight ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Support for that mission has increased.

Mr. Vickers has a brother who lives a short distance from me and is very active in Victoria politics and other public service.

Thanks for bringing this up Amedean. Your signature, Those who hammer their swords into plows will plow for those who don't! is a good one for a soldier.
Respect.

Edit --- My slow computer showed me only a photo at first. A minute later it was a video that explains the whole thing.

I don't get why it was in his office. There's probably a rule about bringing weapons into the legislature. That will have to be reviewed.

Dale : It's early days yet, the story will come out, My Understanding is it was a presentation piece representing an mostly ceremonial part of his job,
with little expectation that He would ever be expected to use it ! I heard it was in his desk unloaded. You will probably hear a nearer version of the
truth than 99% of the rest of Us !

It took a good man with a gun to stop a bad man with a gun, God the NRA will have fun with that ! SFC E.A.Lumley, rtrd

( I want to live long enough to be the last U.S. Veteran left alive !)

I think Amedean is much younger. Maybe you could be the oldest one left from the civil war.

Morning came much too soon and it brought along a friend named Margarita Hangover, and a tiny ad.
