I just got in on Ello and was wondering if there were any other permies who use the site yet? I'd love to connect with people on there. I have Google+, Twitter, Linkdin and Facebook as well, but I have really high hopes for Ello since they structured the company in a way that it can never sell your information and is supposedly able to stay ad free. I don't know if any of you have suffered some of the frustrations of Facebook especially, but having a non-invasive social media would be a nice change. The one that has really been annoying me lately is how people who have a fan page (As an Author, I use one to connect with my readers), won't have their posts shown to the people who follow them consistently. Instead, about a third of your followers will see any given post and the rest will have to go hunting to find it (assuming they know to look). The only way to bypass it is to pay facebook huge sums of money (per post) to make sure the post goes to everyone on your list. Grrrr.

So yeah, I am all for this new Ello. Anyone else out there? Seems like a good place to connect with others and not have everything we say analyzed for ways to sell us something.

Post Script: I am pretty sure I have the ability to send invites to people if they are interested, but not on there yet. Haven't tested that theory yet though. Let me know if you need an invite to the site.
