self closing pig feeder

Interesting.  I guess this means that 'human-provided' food is constantly available to them.  Does this stop them from foraging/digging I wonder?  Ours get fed twice a day but they are frenzied when we go to feed them and I'm actually a bit scared of them now.  This is the first time we've had pigs and 'those who know' seem to say that first-timers always overfeed their pigs and we're trying not to.  But I don't want them to be hungry either.  Can any other pig folk tell me their experiences, please?

I don't see why it would have to be full all the time. Even with corn available 24/7 pigs will still root for worms.
