Woot Woot! Happy to be here! Ask away folks, knowledge is power!

Hope to meet you all in person this March in San Diego at Permaculture Voices 2. I will be presenting two talks on holistic dairy farming, and starting your own small dairy herd.

Hi Adam! Welcome!

It's really cool that you've put this book out there. I drive by a dairy farm on my way home and every time I pass I often wonder how it could be turned around into something better. Good on you for sharing what you've experienced with this!

Adam!

How goes it my friend. We only met once at PV1, but I remember you often. I must say I am VERY impressed you now have a book!! Wow.

Getting cows for me is still a few years off, but at least i will know what book to turn to.

Congrats! And thank you for taking some time to answer questions this week.

I'll be at PV2, to give a mini presentation, so, lucky for me, we can meet again.

Will your talks differ from last year? Just curious, I could totally here you speak on the same topics again! You are a fountain of down to earth information that just makes sense.

Hello and welcome, Adam!

Man, I have always been so sure I want to support a dairy farmer and not be one...
but 'The Beautiful Way' idea made me just want to find out if maybe I'd change my mind!
I'm a big lover of raw milk and there is no cheese I am not fond of, I'm pretty certain of that!
Right now my fave is a raw goat cheddar. unreal. *swoon*

So maybe I just need to reconsider this not doing the dairy thing myself...

*heh*
That's a little bit scary to me!

Welcome Adam! I'm a newbie to the Permaculture world, but I'm very eager to learn and look forward to gaining some dairy farming knowledge.

Mr. Klaus, I just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work and your generousity in sharing your knowledge and experience with me and many others. You have played a big part in helping me start my farm. I now have a milking cow named Pauline ( name was my three year old's contribution) and 17 acres waiting for a steward to nuture it. I look forward to hearing more of what you have to say and hope you and your family recieve many more blessings in the future.

i have received over and about the cost of your book - through your (Adam's) informative posts here on permies.

even if i wasnt into dairying (which i am) i would buy the book - as i like supporting people who give back to others the way you do.

keep doing what your doing adam, it IS appreciated

Hi Seth, mutual feeling my friend, you impressed the heck out of me at PV1, so I am very much delighted to reconnect again this year.

The talks at PV2 will be different. At PV1, I gave an overview of how cows came to be the centerpiece of Bella Farm.

This year I will be giving two talks, focused on:
-How to start your own raw milk dairy business
-How dairy cows fit into a holistically managed permaculture farm

Getting excited!!! Hope you and all you are too!

So I ran the winner picker app in the forum software and we have 2 winners.

Laurie Branson
and
Pamela Rempel

Congratulations Laurie and Pamela!

I sent you an email to ask for the email address of the person that first referred you to Permies.com. That person (if qualified) will also get a copy of the book and a permies care package.

Thank you so much for the book Dairy Farming: The beautiful Way. Just got the book yesterday and I read half already. I love the book. So much great information. It is a much needed aide for preparing our land for when we get our cows plus for their health.

Hi, Pamela Rempel and Laurie Branson, why don't you write a review of the book for us on permies.com. It would be nice if you could share your impression on the book with us.
Why don't you use the acorns scale for reviews, starting your revies like this: I give this book .. out of 10 acorns. where we use a scale from 0 to 10 to give our impressions on the book.
to learn more on the acorns scale follow this link:
acorns scale for books

and why don't you write your review here:
Dairy farming: the beautiful way

thanks it would be nice to read your impressions.
