The new place has an infestation of krill.  Anyone know where I can buy a couple of penguins?

Your always on the go Ken, sorry to hear your a bit stir crazy just now

So where have you moved to?  Did you post the details somewhere else?

I still don't get automatic notifications of every new post even though I'm subscribed to every forum - it's hit and miss, and most of the time I don't have the time to just cruse the forums.
So forgive me if I'm out of touch with your latest story....

The last 6 months have been busy.  This may be a short week, next week also a short week.  Winding down now, one more job for 3 weeks at a paper mill in Perry FL, starts on the 22nd.  When done in Perry I'll have the rest of the year with a few days a week off, maybe a long job here and there.  So tired I might not get up out of this chair.

My old house is still in litigation with the insurance company.  I hate my attorney.  Saved my pennies, bought another place about 15 miles north of the old house.  I'm out in the country on 3.7 acres.  Mostly clear with some oaks and laurels around the perimeter.  Blackberries, 3 loquats, a lime tree and some roses here and there round out the flora.  Fauna is standard for north Florida: deer, fox, rabbits, turkey and water mocassins.  I'll keep it mowed and fix the fence.

The home is a 40 year old single wide trailer.  Its in acceptable shape and will do until I have space on my plate for construction.  An addition was made making the thing effectively a double wide.  Appliances and roof are new.  Its got heat, AC, electricity, hot water-all the things I dont havein my old house.  Its got a run in stall in the back and a 12x24 garage on the east side that is in outstanding shape.

The price was right at 45k.  Just the land could pull that price, even in this market.  The seller was motivated, her husband having passed away recently-she was not comfortable living out there alone.  Accepted my offer within 3 hours, she was asking 52.  I closed on the 28th, but the deal was that she would be living there until the 12th.  She's closing on a place in town just up the street from where my old house is.

All the systems are in place and it has the space I need to do what I want.  Most of all this place gives me the chance to move forward again, having been trapped for the last 4 years after a tree fell on the old place.  My project list is pages long.  I'll start by making dinner and working my way through a big stack of beer.

Excellent!  That's where I'd start too - best of luck with your new beginnings.  Keep us posted!

How about some Sinatra to give the place some atmosphere?

Nice Sinatra tune! Are you serious about the krill?? Am I missing something?

Funny, but there was this thread on krill oil in medicinal herbs so it had me wondering how to extract oil from the little things...
