My name is Linda, though if you know my blog, you might know me better as Garden Betty.

I'm an edible gardener and backyard chicken-keeper with a 1/4 acre modern homestead on the Southern California coast, zone 10b. I grow about 125-150 varieties of vegetables, herbs, and fruits every season, all year long, and write a blog at http://www.gardenbetty.com to document all that goes on in my garden.

This year, my first book was released by Voyageur Press. The CSA Cookbook (2015) takes a no-waste, nose-to-tail approach to cooking and eating the vegetables from a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) box, farmers' market, or backyard harvest. There are 106 seasonal recipes for common vegetables you might buy or grow, as well as the unconventional parts of plants that recipes never call for and shoppers never see (such as pepper leaves, bean leaves, and broccoli greens - all of which are edible). You can read more and watch the trailer at http://www.thecsacookbook.com.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in these forums!

Hello Linda.  I'm glad to see that you have complied perfectly with the real name policy, while still maintaining your pen name for business purposes.

You can also create a signature for yourself where you state your other name and contact information.

It will show up at the bottom of every one of your posts.

What's wrong? Where are you going? Stop! Read this tiny ad:
