This prototype has been around for a while, but here's my attempt at it.

The top barrel has a wire net at the bottom of it.
The bottom barrel has something to divide worm poop from the liquid when it rains.

When it rains, the water gets sent downhill into another barrel through tubing.

From this my only work is digging out worm poop from time to time and pouring out the fertilized water onto plants.

Oh, and giving the worms something to eat. I'm not very organized with it, I just throw in whatever I think they would eat.
Kitchen waste, bread (people are always giving us bread for the chickens, but 99% of that ends up here)
Spent potting soil now and again.
Straw/hay with chicken poop rarely.

This winter I'll probably cover it with something, since too much rain washed out the worms a little too much this spring.

It's in a spot that gets about 1hour of sun near sunset. It's the darkest place on the property. Important for not burning up the worms in the hot sun.
