Hi,
I stumbled upon a PDF from a Hungarian university describing the nectar release for some of the main bee forage plants relevant in that country. This was a pretty good find since I'm in the part of neighboring Slovenia that shares Hungary's predominant climate.
Here it is:
http://biofizika.pote.hu/docs/farma/file/EJPSB_1(2)125-151.pdf
I see that the link as this forum activates it is broken; just copy-paste it entirely, including the part from (2) onwards, in your browser.
The PDF is in English; search for the term "hour" to get a quick impression.
My conclusion from this document was that nectar release is either continuous or on a (4-hour, 6-hour...) cycle.
Finding this was a stroke of luck as I've been wondering about this for a while and did not really get anywhere by trying to Google it.
Does anybody have any further pointers about this topic? A table of "plant X releases nectar at Y hours during the day" would be sublime
Thanks!
