I was on a photography assignment for the owner of a small farm next door and could not help but notice the neighbour's ducks. I feel bad that some of them were killed, cleaned and cooked. They looked perfect.

The food chain is weird for sure. I helped my mom butcher a snapping turtle once. She had cooked it up and I had been gobbling up some sort of breaded meat on the table. "Mike how do you like your snapping turtle? she asked. What had tasted fantastic a minute before was now making me want to vomit.
I would like to think I could butcher a cow, pig , deer or whatever and still love their flesh but something happened that day butchering the turtle.

I can imagine many farmers need to trade livestock with neighbors, "you don't eat pets."
