We're almost done with construction of our on-farm butcher shop. I just epoxy coated the inspector's desk in our butcher shop at Sugar Mountain Farm. Construction is down to the last details. In August I'll do another layer to top coat it. Now is your chance to send in a postcard from your part of the world to be included in the butcher shop at Sugar Mountain Farm. Someone already sent me some Irish coins that I’m planning to put in the epoxy resin. It would be fun to have items from around the United States and around the world. I’ve got about six square feet to work with so plenty of space.

To have your post card, picture or other thin objects like coins considered for inclusion, mail them to arrive by August 15th 2015:

Sugar Mountain Farm
252 Riddle Pond Road
West Topsham, VT 05086 USA

I’ll pick the best candidates to encapsulate for prosperity in the inspector’s desk!

I've set August 15th as the deadline for postcards, stamps, coins and other thin flat objects to arrive. I've gotten emails from people sending from Ireland, Asia, Africa, Canada and several states in the USA. Thin and flat is important as the next layer of epoxy coating will be about 1/4", no more. Thus things 1/8" or thinner are best.

Cheers,

-Walter

Ah ha! I believe I have a few vintage stamps and postcards that might be appropriate - I imagine that competition for space on that desk will be getting fierce!

Cool! Nothing of value. The clear epoxy both preserves and would destroy a stamp at the same time. That is to say it would never be able to be retrieved!

Glad it got there. I had written you a nice note, too, but then I forgot to include it. So, imagine a supportive message here and there!
