I like the idea the author of this Kickstarter presents but like many things I see someone with great intentions over-estimating peoples ability to help. Meaning I think he priced his poles out of the reach of "caring folks". I think instead of trying to protect his pole invention he should have used his resources to enlist people in the promotion of building their own poles. The guy mentions using Boy Scouts which is a great idea but $125 for a pole? What do you think?

It looks like he is planning on putting in structures for mason-type bees. Here is a copy of the patent mentioned by the guy. Unfortunately, since the bee pole just uses raw wood with drilled holes there is a good chance the project is doomed to fail because after a season or two because of pollen mite buildup in the bee pole.
