Apple Cider VInegar is getting tons of press these days. I wonder if it needs to be home made. It seems like you would either consume a huge amount or sell it to have continuous brewing.

we consume approx. 5 gallons a year so I would think that would be enough to keep one going

i d like to try that, too...

there are quite many roadside apples in our region at this moment.

i have storebought apple vinegar. i put some of it into a jar with water and honey to create a vinegar mother.

first i would need to get apple cidre (alcohol), right? what is a good way to do a small batch (like a few litres)?

thank you and blesses

Hi Tobias, once you have the cider just put it in a jug that has a small enough mouth on it to fit an airlock on and add some yeast to the cider leave it for a couple of months and the add your mother to the hard cider you,ve made
