I read on a post from a different site that they used tea tree oil for fungus on there microgreens,I used "tea tree oil" because of this post, but later read cases of kids going into comas from ingesting, a small amount of tea tree oil. So here is the question, spraying this oil on your microgreens really safe? I threw out three trays because of the uncertainty, washed and rewashed my spreay bottle , but it still carrys the tea tree sent . Is it safe?

Spraying essential oil of any kind onto microgreens sounds pretty horrendous to me. I don't think I'd want to eat anything that had been sprayed directly.

I think it would be better to figure out why your set-up is letting fungus grow and correct the problem at source. Could you tell us a bit more about what you're doing, or maybe a photo or two, so we can visualise the problem?
