POST 393 (DAY 403, Thursday, 2021.9.16)
…. Another mulch pick up.. this time we had the sidewalls of the dump trailer, so we got about twice as mulch.. M and K did game cams and office work.. Judy is having overheat issues.. B, a career mechanic, took a quick look and suggested to start with a flush, a cap, and possibly the fan clutch.. anyway, we spread a bit more mulch around and measured the height capacity of the tractor front arm—it should be able to lift the south beam above the three posts, just enough..
POST 394 (DAY 404, Friday, 2021.9.17)
…. Yesterday was bootgardening and work on the solarium.. I rolled my ankle on a weird rock.. haven’t rolled my ankle in over a decade—I thought I was done with that because somehow I had developed “rubber ankles”.. the kind that stops pressure as soon as a roll starts.. this time was different because I was landing at a very strange angle and speed on an unexpectedly odd shaped rock.. heard a pop but it could’ve been way worse.. I’m expecting a quick recovery with some comfrey salve applied.. :)
…. today I’m digging a trench with the small excavator.. for the new well..
POST 395 (DAY 405, Saturday, 2021.9.18)
…. Feeling a bit like I haven’t been totally honest with how tired I might be these days.. it’s good to be honest.. in my experience, physical injuries are a manifestation of something like fatigue.. after the ankle roll, it dawned on me that I need replenishment.. not sure how to get it yet.. perhaps a day of silence or nothing.. it’s easy to get distracted by the noise of everything.. and before you know it, months have gone by without a whisper of simply breathing.. just to breathe.. today’s my return to breath..
