DIY wood-heated cedar hot tub
Paul sent me this link, and it is a really cool, thorough run through of a project for a beautiful wood-heated cedar hot tub!

Check it out here!

This couple had just moved onto their new 5 acre homestead and were working on building their off the grid home when they decided, hot tub=necessity. Can't say I blame them.

Anyway, in this article they cover every single part of their process, from the tools they used, to how they sourced some cheap, but high quality boards for their project.

The result is this radiant beauty right here:

Now I'm still really new to fancy wood working tools myself, and this particular project is a bit beyond my current skill set. One cool thing about this post is though that they list the tools they used, as well as the supplies. Here are a couple of things you'll need (that some of you more seasoned craftsmen may already have in your arsenal):

Craftsman 10" Table Saw with Laser

Makita 1-1/4 HP Plunge Router
Dewalt Double Sliding Bevel Compound Miter Saw
Makita Variable Speed Jig Saw
Vinyl Coated Galvanized Cable, 3/8"
And of course, there's plenty more that may be on your equipment and materials list besides this and the lumber. Get the full materials list here.

This creative couple also turned this experience into a video series on their YouTube channel - check out their videos here.
Just put the cards in their christmas stocking and PRESTO! They get it now! It's like you're the harry potter of permaculture. richsoil.com/cards
