I try to, as much as possible, purchase my consumables in plastic-free packaging. Except for 5-gallon buckets & gamma lids, I have made my home entirely plastic free.
Things like Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is packaged in small quantities without plastic, but the 13# bags are plastic. And when I bought 50# from bulkfood.com, it was in a box - but the Baking Soda itself was in a plastic bag. Unfortunately, I use about 10# a month of baking soda between laundry, personal bathing and the kitchen, so the smaller quantity packaging isn't appropriate.
I would be very interested if permies have found that a commonly used product purchased off the web arrives in a plastic free packaging. Frankly, I would be willing to pay more to avoid plastic. And I would re-use the non-plastic containers.
I would want a link to the web address and the item.
