Proper use of the search function

Hello all,
recently i read a thread here in the forums started by Cassie about definitions of permaculture in one sentence. I liked it a lot and wanted to read over it again a few days later, but couldn't find it. I had that problem before an wonder how to find a particular thread in the forums. I searched for "what is permaculture", "definition of permaculture", "Definition", "sentence" etc. Also searching for an exact phrase with "..." doesn't work, the search gives out just any thread containing any of the terms.
Any ideas how to find that tread again?

I did a google search for:

site:permies.com permaculture sentence

If you know who started it, click on their name. That will take you to their member profile. In the member profile (on the right hand side) are two links. One will take you to a full list of all posts by that person. The other will take you to a full list of all topics started by that person.  I can see where the search function could work better, but maybe this will work for this case.

thank you for the quick reply. Casie's guess was right, that's the thread i was looking for.
That Paul himself didn't find it might be a hint that the search function could need a bit of improvement.

I am searching for details on boxing in a sod roof and constructing the drip edge. I searched, "sod roof drip edge," and "roof construction" and a few other variations. Did n't find a thread with the info, but am pretty sure it is on permies somewhere. After posting my request for help in the natural building forum, a useful thread recommendation at the bottom of my page appeared, "Help find a thread" in the tinkering forum. Wish I had clicked on it right away because now the search "help find a thread" doesn't lead to it. Please advise.

This thread https://permies.com/t/43712/Lessons-Learned-Building-WOFATIs specifically discusses the experiences others have been having there, including some diagrams of how the drip edges where made on the wofatis.

I often try google for something and get crappy results till I put "permies" at the end of whatever I'm searching. Boom instant non commercial information.
