Hey yall.  Just wondering what the recommended amount of DE is for goats?  We have 14 goats of various ages here in central Louisiana.  DE is a good dewormer from what I've seen on here and I want to be sure I give them jsut enough.  Thanks for yall's help.

Hey Waylon;  I raise pigs but the mix should be the same. 2% of the bulk feed.  mix  20  pounds of DE per 1000 lbs of feed.   I buy a 55 lb sack of food grade DE at the feed store then mix it with 3000 lbs of hog feed.  You can't feed them too much.  I don't premix I just keep the 50# sack nearby and as I pour feed into their hopper I add several scoops of DE.  Being pigs ,mine will eat straight DE out of my hand.  In the case of pigs by using DE their poop doesn't smell nearly as bad , the fly problem is greatly reduced. I walk around and sprinkle DE on the raked up poop piles to help with the fly's. I have never had worms or any parasites in over 10 years of using DE.            I put a spoon full of DE in every cup of coffee I drink , no polyps or worms in me...  If its good enough for my pigs its good enough for me!
