This is my winter Quail setup. I use a cement mixing tub under each pen to hold wood shavings which create deep carbon bedding for the quail droppings to lock up any smell.

The Quail Condo click for complete condo setup with detailed pictures of everything you need for quail keeping.

Bobwhites?  I like your set-up.  How many birds do you keep and do you utilize them for meat, eggs or both?  Quail are good eating.  Love them.

These Quail are Jumbo Japanese Coturnix.  I keep 12 in the winter and expand the meat bird production in the backyard quail tractor (Here) for the summer months.  They produce an egg a day and different from chickens, they lay eggs after only 6 weeks vice 6 months for chickens. Great for stealthy bird keeping too.  Your neighbors would never know you are keeping quail. They are super docile and quiet.
