Wanna get your hands dirty this summer and learn from some experts in Natural building and Permaculture? Join us at the Laytonville Sustainability Immersion June 19-July14, 2017 in beautiful Mendocino county, Northern California.

The course is broken down into four weekly modules which one can take individually or as a whole month-long engagement with the land and material. Each week’s topics and workshops are interrelated and cover a wide range of subjects from permaculture, natural building, green building and solar technologies to intentional communities and social/environment dynamics and structures and the “bio-cultural corridor.” We encourage you to take the entire course. A month-long “living together” immersion is like no other experience. Prepare to have your paradigms shifted!

Week-2 is our "Natural Building/Rocket Stove" module. We encourage folks to come for the whole month-long, but it's also possible to sign up for just one or two of the week-long topical modules. The topics will weave together throughout the whole month, but we will focus on Permaculture week-1, Natural Building and Rocket Stoves week-2, Green Building and energy efficiency techniques and science week-3 and Intentional Communities and more Social Permaculture week-4.
The Natural Building week will include:
  Introduction to cob building.
Rebuild a rocket stove hot water heater.
Adobe and natural building construction techniques.
Instructors include Sasha Rabin & John Orcutt from Quail Springs and others to be announced...

We've got a lot of cool stuff planned. Visit the website for info on the whole month's topics and workshops.
