I have 4 kids (only 2 pregnancies, I might add) ages 3 and under. 3 boys and 1 girl. They are going to be great little adventure buddies someday. Now... if that doesn't send you running, maybe you'll be interested in the rest of what I have to say!

I am pretty ambitious, a bit of a dreamer and a planner. I'm usually pretty good at the big picture and problem solving thing. I have my own, mortgage-free land I am getting started on in beautiful, rural North Idaho. This year I am hoping to finish a barn that may be a temporary home for my family as we build a house using alternative building methods. I have financial plans and investments for retirement, but I would like to be self sufficient enough that the need for money is minimized. (I feel like that is far more attainable than being rich and leads to greater happiness. ) I am a bit of a health nut and like to be active and eat healthy. I am a hard worker and usually enjoy good hard work. I'm into gardening/food forests, animals, and foraging. If it's crafty, creative or artistic, I probably like it! The more time I get to spend outside, the happier I am. I like to sing when no one can hear me. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music.
I can be strong willed but want agreement in shared decisions. I seek equality, fairness and understanding. I'm far from perfect! I appreciate constructive feedback and hope to be with the kind of person who is willing to give and receive it. I'm pretty straightforward. Ask me anything! Be prepared to answer similar questions in kind. I'm fairly intelligent, but can be absentminded and forgetful, and somewhat awkward at times. But if you can laugh with me in good humor, then hey... I provide a lifetime supply of free entertainment. (And yes, I hope we can poke fun at each other. Life is better when we can laugh at ourselves!) I can overthink things and be too indecisive or overly particular sometimes, which are things I am working on.

Looking for a guy who wants a family to share this lifestyle with. Someone who would work with me as an equal partner in a 2 person team in decision making and pursuing shared goals.

There's so much more to say, but I have already said a lot and have things to do, what with the kids and chores and stuff. Life! Haha.
And hey, just so it's known, I'm looking for friends who share my interests, also! So if you're not up for kids or a long term relatioship but you're nearby and want to be friends, let me know!

Hope you're having a great day out there, and wishing you luck in pursuing your permaculture dream!

Hi Alicia!
You sound pretty amazing!
The inland Northwest US (especially ID and MT) is one of my very favorite areas ever.
Your lifestyle and interests that you mentioned line up pretty well with mine. My name's Willie. I'm a 21-year-old guy from Texas. I'm pretty mobile these days (currently working in WA, previously in MT), trying to figure out next steps in my life, but I mostly work on ranches with livestock. I'm a Holistic Management practitioner and a Savory Institute Accredited Professional, so I love critters and regenerative ranching/farming (as well as spreading it). I hope to include gardening and food forests in my life when I get settled somewhere. Holistic Management and consensus are really important to me in decision making. Family and a teamwork/consensus-based romantic partnership is very much something I'm searching for. I'm a musician and tread the line between folk and country in my music (Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark are two of my favorites). I lean far-left socio-politically. I'd love to get a chance to talk with you! If you're interested and think we might possibly match, let me know and we can trade contact info. Hope to hear from you

Hello  Alicia,  you sound amazing.  My name is Richard.  I would be very interested in having a conversation with you. If it came to anything I would drive up for lunch on a weekend.  I'm near Boise. Hope to here from you.

I must apologize, I was coming on here to remove this...
Thank you for your kind words, I don't feel I am all that amazing. Haha.
At this time I have just now started dating someone and while I don't know how that will go, this being very early in the relatioship, I am not the type to try to see multiple people. Haha.
I apologize, truly I do. I hate to disappoint people. You sound like incredible people (Willie, I love that you come across as educated and are pursuing a great field and you sound like a person of wonderful interests and hobbies. For what it's worth, you also have very nice eyes. Richard, you didn't say much about yourself and I didn't get to see you, but I very much appreciate that you would make the drive from Boise to meet me for lunch, thank you.) and I very much hope you find great partners soon, as everyone deserves to.
If the relationship I am starting for whatever reason doesn't work out, I will check back.
I am also still interested in friends.

Alicia, What a fun post!

You seem to have a very good head on your shoulders. It's too bad you aren't in Central Texas!
