Spinning wheel type?

Hello,
I have been looking at the information on this website and there are so many knowledgable people!  I need help.
I am an avid crocheter and have been wanting to learn how to spin.  I know nothing about spinning wheels.  
I unexpectedly found this spinning wheel at a flea market and on impulse, bought it.  From looking at everyone else's pictures, the treadle is disconnected and the fly is broken.  I was wanting to fix it but it looks like it might be more trouble than it is worth.  But it is so beautiful.  So I am wondering if I should really look into fixing it, or have it more as display piece.  I don't know why but it speaks to me.  It is so beautiful.  I was trying to find out where it was made or any information, but it I am having a difficult time.  I can take more pictures if needed.

What a lovely wheel.  

It's a double drive castle wheel.  I don't know the maker, but the construction style hints at mid to late 20th Century.  Anything written on the bottom?

Which means you might be able to get a replacement flyer.  They call it an Orkney wheel because that's where the specific one was made.  This style is sometimes called Irish or Boudoir wheels.

The flyer is going to be the biggest challenge, but you have a bobbin.  That's a big step towards making this work.  Do you have any woodworking experience or know someone who does?  If not, there are people who specialize in making replacement flyers and bobbins.
