We went to Bryce Canyon! They had some amazing views! And a giant 3-log bench!

The striking and unusual rock formations at Bryce Canyon were eroded by water over many thousands of years.

While we were enjoying the majestic views, a bold and boisterous raven dropped in for a visit.

After escaping from the ravenous raven, we finally made it to the Grand Canyon. Mind-boggling views abounded.

The views were endless and overwhelming. What must the first human explorer have thought upon arriving at this great rift in the earth's surface?

They had this big concrete observation tower on the edge of the cliff with a stone facade on the outside to make it look super old and with all kinds of native-esque art inside. I thought the hogan style log ceiling looked pretty cool.

On the way back we stopped at this lake out in the middle of the desert. It seemed to be the result of an enormous dam.

We also swung by that big ol' salty lake in Utah on the way back. They say the water's almost 25% salt. Pretty crazy.

Traveling through these different climates we came across many different species. I tried to document them as best I could, but most I couldn't positively identify. I'll post the most interesting-looking ones here.
