Here is an odd thing that occurs with this feature.

Earlier this week I started a thread on vollkornbrot.  No one has posted to the thread, it is only my post.  I got a link to that thread in my email "interesting threads you might have missed".

Is this something that could be re-designed, so that a person does not get their own thread back in the "might have missed" mailing.

Not a big deal, I really like the "might have missed" email

Used to be I only saw the thank you for quality posts, during the last 4 days people have liked your post" message if someone had actually "liked" a post and then there was a link st of what posts of mine had gained the recognition of others.   Now I get the message when there are no posts that are listed and presumably none have been liked.

Dunno if it is a big deal to anyone just thought I would mention it.

I like it and it brought me back here today. Yes, I find it helpful to jump into the most interesting threads I haven't seen and to return to any I've seen already to find out what is new in them.

I closed my permies account more than 2 weeks ago and I'm still getting these emails. Isn't there some kind of law against that?

I appreciate receiving these emails. I am often short of time to thoroughly check out the various threads. These reminders help me to focus on important things that I may have indeed missed. Please keep them coming!

Thanks for this feature! The threads are often very helpful and interesting.  I also appreciate the feedback provided about my posts and which ones are most helpful to people.

Absolutely love it.  I have so little time to check internet, it makes it easy for me, so I don't have to search.

I always read the "Interesting permies thread" you send to find topics I'd like to see. I haven't found the other options people have mentioned, so I'll look for them now. I appreciate the help I've had through the Permies forum, THANKS!

Today, I got "Here are the top 1 threads from the last 12 days  of the forums you think are best! " with only one entry, which had been spammed yesterday.  Some nervous nellie with a rocket oven has been abusing their privileges.

I LOVE it! I've been a member for a while, but until this feature popped into my email, I rarely thought to visit, because... life. Now, I'm coming in at least daily, and posting, and enjoying permieslike I meant to, all along! Thank you!

Maybe I changed my settings myself, but then I did something wrong. First I got those messages about threads I might have missed, and every time there were interesting new threads I never saw before. But now the message only mentioned the threads I actively follow, nothing new ...

I generally like getting these from time to time- I don't have the time to sift through all the traffic that goes through permies to find the things that are in my areas of interest- but today I got one that took me to a thing that said "you don't have  sufficient priveleges to access this message.' Seemed a bit pointless, at best

Hello there! Yes I do find some of these things of interest! This is a good way to do that as I can delete it all with one click or pick through the topics. I have recently joined  another forum that is absolutely nailing me with notices and suggestions and even forums that share a similar title are trying to get me to sign up. I was hit with so much of it within a couple of days that I am unsubscribing. I am grateful that this forum is not like that and that we can know that our responses or any issues that we are having are being dealt with by folks that are like-minded and not in some call center in the Philippines, or else where, and sending endless emails meant to manipulate me into the next best level of "service". Thanks permies!

Just wanted to chime in and say that I love this feature. I'm still pretty new here and there is a huge wealth of knowledge on the site it would take me years (possibly even a lifetime) to discover. Thanks for making some of the older but still awesome threads a bit easier to access.

I love the email summary. It's definitely a keeper, too. Like most people, I'm drowning in email all the time, and it's very helpful to have a curation feature for permies.com so I don't miss something. Thank you!

Appreciated. I have a great need to visit more often. This is a great reminder. And will be making more of an effort to do so.
We just had an outsider with money drop a white elephant event center across the road. Since we (try to) organic garden. Plan on showcasing "How to" on my Facebook  hashtag#ElkCreekGardens, for the general public connection. They keep hollering out the window as they come outta the chute (aka driveway) "Nice garden".,And many other life thingys.
Regardless
Too many irons in the fire.

I know that this is an older post, but I keep "Hot Topics" and "Recent Topics" bookmarked in my browser.

It's easy to keep up with things especially with receiving the "...might have missed" email.

I really like this feature. I use it, too--I probably open around 90% of the emails, and I'd estimate I click on at least one link 75% of the time. Highly encourage the continuation of this feature. It keeps me connected.
