Please post here if you know about good sources for
Indigenous Trees, Seeds, Plants etc.
or have any available for exchange.

I have heard of Afriflora Indigenous Nursery - in Pretoria
but I have never been there ~ Afrifloras number is 083 555 8040

I buy seeds online @ www.bidorbuy.co.za. Seeds for Africa and Seeds & All are good sellers. Also found a pretty good nursery online today, just google kumbula Indigenous Nursery.

Hope this helps.

Brian, thanks I have bought on B or Buy but find them extremely expensive.
Some seeds they sell can be bought at feed stores - 500g for less than their 20seeds
Pigeon peas I bought from company selling seeds for sprouting.
Plants we are on the lookout for are edible Perrenials , Equisetum, and Goumi.

Greetings

Best source of organic or open pollinated seed I have found is from BALL STRAATHOF, they are big yes, but family owned and offer great service.

For cover crops AGRICOL in Silverton offer a great service, also family and worker owned company.
For great service GROW WILD in Kayalami has a wonderful variety and helpful advice, you may find Tina a permie working there on the week ends.

In Mamalodi at the Walter Sisulu Environmental Centre and permie garden opposite Mamelodi Hospital, you will find Oom David tending his plants in the community garden, pioneer plants can be sourced there.

If you by in bulk DOONHOLM out near Mnandi will do herbs et al.

SAMGRO in Wellington will post you plugs and small plants overnight.....

Have fun and keep the momentum..........
