Collect some bugs or other crawly things. Get them to associate you with treats. In a matter of days to a week you should get them eating out of your hand.

Ducks are unlikely ever to like being held or touched and khakis are especially skittish. What is important is to thoroughly train them about where home is and make that home permanent. So keep them somewhat hungry leading up to bedtime and entice them home with ample food. This will build up their trust on n you. Get to understand their different sounds and what happiness is for them.

Hello.we are 'Just a Cluckin' Homestead. Out of Cameron NC. We unfortunately had one of our most tamed ducks. Lucky. He was khaki Campbell and he was our rescue baby. He only has one eye and was our pet. He stayed on the house at night. We brought him and the eggs in every night. We miss him so MUCH. But to answer your question. I have hand raised hundreds of birds in the last two years. I don't consider my babies "Pot Birds".I raise them all tame because they mostly imprint on me from the time they hatch. I have had many fellow bird people tell me the birds I raise mind better than their kids. Lol. But spending lots of time of possible with them and them getting totally secure in your presence. I'm not sure how old your babies are but khaki stakes are the easiest tame of all barn yard ducks. I have all my ducks trained to go up in separate pens each and every night. Sorry rambling. But yes the time spent with them and the nurturing spirit that I'm sure you have will run off on them all. Put one of the stakes if you can sex them and pick him to start the training process with if at least one of the others is a hen they will both mostly follow him as he is already may be the oldest and tiger in the age group even if only by minutes or an hour apart. He will lead they will follow. And its better if you have more than one. What ever they imprint on as chicks or ducklings when they reach maturity they will try to breed with. Even if its you. I have a royal palm turkey that just reach of age and he goes after my wife with a purple passion. But I move mine from one to another twice a day. Morning then bed time. My birds are all spoiled rotten. The RP that likes my wife too much I have to pick him up and put him on his roost every night. Hope this helps and so sorry so long. Love talking bout my babies. Thanks for your time. TeamKelbo

I miss the old days when I would think up a sinister scheme for world domination and you would show a little emotional support. So just look at this tiny ad:
