I have FREE access to the pasture next door belonging to my uncle that I can fence in to put some hair sheep in. However he has about 20 pecan trees and picks the pecans to sell every year. I have never had sheep with pecan trees before o needing to know if they will eat up his pecan crop? Thanks guys
Sheep will eat acorns and hickory nuts, but not black walnuts, so they will likely also eat pecans if they aren't too large. I turn my sheep out into my woods during nut season so they can harvest the mast crop and also use the tannic acid in acorns to clear out any intestinal worms.
