Hello fellow permies.
I have an acre of land that is currently just lawn. I have decided to transform it into a fruit and nut tree orchard.

It will have a pond at the top with a run off into water catchment which will run into the green house. There is a squareish space of about 90x90 foot where the main orchard will be, the fruit and nut trees will be the centre of guilds the guilds will mostly comprise of edible perennials and fruit obviously each guild will also contain a number of n2 fixers, dynamic accumulators, pollinators etc.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice/ideas to help me in the development stage any suggestions welcomed.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I have a space that is at the back of a restaurant and thus has an adjoining carpark, it was full of "weeds" and grass approx 5ft high which I have chopped and dropped, I have layered with card and have an abundance of horse manure, it's going to be a herb garden with some veg and wild flowers. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on a small 3ft hedge plant or certain types of flowers or herbs to use as a border, that keep car fumes off what would be herbs for medicinal and eating. Will post some pictures if anyone is interested. The climate is north east uk, right by the seaside. Thanks in advance X
