Due to receiving a job offer to be Farm Manager for a restoration ag startup, I am leaving my current farming operation on leased land. I have agreed to help the land owner find a new farmer occupant. This is an unique opportunity in an extremely beautiful setting. 23 acres just north of the Skagit river comprised of an upper and lower field, separated by a strip of mixed forest. About 10 acres "farmable" flat pasture land. Lower field has higher quality pasture, and has been rotationally grazed with goats and chickens by myself this last season. This farm is very much a blank slate, would be great opportunity for someone to get started with a farming enterprise without some of the expenses a lot of folks are facing. It is a property caretaker / crop share lease arrangement. You would need to provide property maintenance, and a produce to the land owner in exchange for use of the land. There are 2 tractors available to use, a small greenhouse, and some irrigation infrastructure in place. I'm leaving about 1.25 ac. cover cropped. There is a very nice brand new large cabin available for housing, and an older cabin that would make a great cabin for apprentices. The property is off the grid with a solar system and propane generator, however there will be grid power available shortly. The owner is interested with those with farming / entrepreneurial experience, preferably a couple. If interested, email me an intro about yourself and any relevant experience.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
